A Christian is one who has become new and CONNECTED to the Father by the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who was the divine exchange to make sinful man like himself.  It came at the greatest sacrifice on the part of God the father and His unique special one of a kind son, Jesus Christ.  God gave His son to CONNECT and redeem man from his sin that took place in the Garden of Eden.  The fall of man took place in the Garden where God gave man the free will choice to obey or disobey.  Disobedience broke our great CONNECTION with God the Father.

What did we lose when our human father Adam sinned?  We lost our intimate CONNECTION with God the father.  God redeemed Adam with an animal sacrifice, but the Garden of Eden was lost and intimacy with God the Father was lost for thousands of years.  Sin had entered the world and corrupted humanity.  The only way to CONNECT and communicate with God the father was through a middle man, priest, on most occasions.

Then Jesus, the Son of God, came into the world through a divine act of God and a virgin, named Mary.  He was perfect and never sinned, which qualified him as the perfect sacrifice for all men and women to be born again and CONNECTED into an intimate relationship with the Father.  Jesus restored us to that unique relationship that Adam had with God the father in the beginning.  When Jesus made the final quote on the cross, “It is finished,” his ultimate complete sacrifice CONNECTED us with the Father once again like Adam had in the Garden.

So, what is a Christian?  He is one that has a divine CONNECTION with God the father.  The Bible tells us in First Corinthians 3:16 that our bodies are now the temple of God and the Holy Spirit dwells within us.  We are alive in a world of darkness.  We have become salt and light in this world to show everyone the way to have a CONNECTION with the heavenly Father through Jesus Christ his only begotten son.  We are citizens of heaven and belong to the eternal family.  We have legal CONNECTION rights as sons and daughters to rule and reign with Jesus Christ now and forever more.

We have been called to make disciples of all nations, and to love one another, and love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.  We have been called to be living sacrifices that may one day result in a total sacrifice of our lives for the cause of Christ and his ministry in this world.   Many Christians around the world are being persecuted and killed by the hour because they are vitally CONNECTED to Jesus Christ and the Father.  We are called to make sacrifices for the gospel of Jesus Christ daily, which means laying down our agendas for the Lord Jesus’ agenda.

What is a Christian?  He is one, she is one who will go the extra mile for Jesus.  Everything takes place in the Lord Jesus’ local Church.  We are called to CONNECT in community in Life Groups (House Churches) so that we can be salt and light in and outside of his Church.  Jesus CONNECTED with his life group of disciples for forty two months twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.  That is the ultimate CONNECTION.  When he returned to heaven his CONNECTION was powerful and his leaders were busy obeying his Great Commission.  What is a Christian?  One who obeys his master, Jesus Christ, overcomes the flesh, lives in the power of the Holy Spirit and rules an reigns with Jesus Christ here on earth and forever with him in eternity.
