Many countries go through many forms of government over a short period of time.  They try a form of government and then overthrow it and try another form of government.  During those revolutions lots of lives are wasted, mother’s sons sacrificed to unholy revolutions.  For a revolution to succeed it must be ordained by a Holy God, sustained by a Holy God, and in line with God’s holy ordinances that come from scripture.  Any revolution that does not have these principles will fail ultimately after much blood shed.

People came from all parts of the world for religious freedom to worship their God in the way they felt without fear of persecution.  The founding fathers placed in the foundation the important principle of “freedom of religion” which is now under attack by a godless generation that are ruled by the mob of Satan.  They will never have freedom and they will never overthrow God’s kingdom.  No country has succeeded to this date.  God is in charge of the rising and falling of nations.

‘Son of man, if a country sins against me by being unfaithful and I stretch out my hand against it to cut off its food supply and send famine upon it and kill its men and their animals, even if these three men – Noah, Daniel and Job – were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness,’ declares the Sovereign Lord. . . . ‘Or if I bring a sword against that country and say, ‘Let the sword pass throughout the land,’ and I kill its men and their animals, as surely as I live,’ declares the Sovereign Lord, ‘even if these three men were in it, they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved.’ ” (Ezekiel 14:13-18)

America had a Great Awakening in the 1740’s led by Pastor Jonathan Edwards.  People came to Church and heard his famous sermon, “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.”  When they heard this sermon they would get up to leave the Church but the Holy Spirit would arrest them and they could not leave.   During the sermon they thought they were actually falling into Hell, and they were crying and screaming.  They repented and the nation began to serve God with more fervor and zeal.  Men became followers of Jesus Christ and devoted disciples.  This was the establishment foundation of a “Righteous Revolution.”  Without God’s involvement a country of three million people could not overthrow the greatest nation in the world with the greatest army and navy.

The founding fathers were dedicated men of God who served Jesus Christ.  The opening prayer to the Continental Congress lasted two hours with a bible study.  John Adams encouraged his wife to read Psalm 35 and tell everyone about what they studied.  John Witherspoon a signer of the Declaration of Independence was the Billy Graham of his day.  The only two founding fathers that we recognize out of 59 signers are Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin the least Godly of all the “Founding Fathers.”  The enemy of our soul is out to rewrite our history so that we think we overthrew England in our own strength.  No, it would have never happened without men of prayer calling upon God to win the day.  God is the Sovereign King who rules over the affairs of men and governments, and judges nations now in this time that we live.
