Local Outreach

New Life Church Outreach is how our church makes a difference in our city and our world. When you give to missions your giving goes directly to support our global and local missions. God has shown us in Proverbs 11:24 NKJV  "There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty."  We are in the redemption business with God locally and globally to reach men and women with the gospel message of Jesus Christ. Here are some of the local outreach programs New Life Church supports:

One example how we do that is through feeding the hungry with Pastor John Hernandez of New Challenge Ministries in Torrance.  They give away boxes of food daily to help people throughout the Southbay.

We support and give to Convoy of Hope that is there in natural disasters such as in Oklahoma, Japan, The Phillipines, and Haiti. Convoy of Hope provides help and hope to people in need in the United States and around world through their children’s feeding initiatives, community outreaches, disaster response and partner resourcing. This is another way how we make an impact locally, nationally, and globally.  When we scatter with God He brings the increase to New Life Church so that we can scatter with Him again and again.

We also hosted a Medical Clinic Day at New Life Church to reach out to the community with free medical exams with dental and optical examinations. We plan to continue to host these events each year.

We also believe in local evangelism on the streets as a Godly presence in the city of Torrance.  We go out on the streets weekly and are developing more evangelism teams to just love people, pray with people, and represent Jesus Christ as the Lord of everything.  He is the one in control, and he gives us divine appointments to bless people with a prayer, salvation, and miracles.  This ministry is hands on outreach with great results that we can see instantly.  There is blessing for everyone involved in the ministry of being a witness for Jesus.  Acts 1:8, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

We work in partnership with non-profit organizations locally and globally to feed the hungry, fight homelessness, empower children and families, respond to the needs of people in crisis, rescue victims of injustice, and lead a generation in a life of generosity and service for the church Jesus called us to be.

Paula Daniels is the President and Executive Director of Forgotten Children, Inc. a non-profit organization dedicated to abolishing Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation of Minors.

‘Since forming Forgotten Children, Paula has ministered to hundreds of young girls who are victims of Human Trafficking, and have been forced to work as prostitutes.  They minister to those women on the street with coffee and refreshments.  She says that it is a very dangerous ministry.  When they are ready for a new life she has a home to take them to and work with them through redemption and recovery. She welcomes local church volunteers, and they will have to be trained on how to minister on the streets.

We support Love Inc., which is a local para Church ministry working with all the local churches to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, find employment for those out of work, and provide infant supplies to young mothers. We worked with them in a Back to School Drive to provide backpacks and school supplies, which helped to alleviate financial pressure on low income families.  They provide gas vouchers, utility and rent assistance to low income families and people that are on their last prayer and hope.  There are opportunities to volunteer and assist in this wonderful ministry in the local community.  This is where the rubber hits the road.

We provide scholarships to low income families for children to attend Angeles Crest Christian Camp in the winter and the summer. This is done through the Esther DeBar Campership Fund.  Esther and her husband founded and built this Christian Camp years ago, and they are the parents of our very own Carol Sato.

Chai Alpha Ministires:  We support Winston Bui at UCLA and Eric Thomure at USC to reach the leaders of tomorrow.  This is a huge mission field where young people can be transformed by a Christian witness on College Campuses.

Since 1995 we have given thousands of dollars to Missions and Missionaries locally and globally.  We just reached our prayer goal of $4,000.00 per month this month.  God is doing something amazing in the hearts of people at New Life Church.  The abundant blessings are in reaching out with the river of God's blessings to people and ministries outside the walls of this Church.
